No Surprises Act

Notice to Clients and Prospective Clients

If you do not have insurance or choose to pay for services out of pocket, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your services.

Under federal law, healthcare providers are generally required to provide clients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance with an estimate of the expected charges for their services.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate in writing before scheduling services or at any time during your care. Your estimate will outline the expected cost of your services based on the information available at the time it is prepared.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charge.

For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates, visit CMS: No Surprises Act.
